My Journey of BEing & BEcoming…
Dionne J. Edmonds is committed to one thing: empowering women to BE the version of themselves God created them to BE. And she’s doing it in a way that is real, honest, and fully her own.
As a wife, mother, daughter, preacher, faith leader, and friend, I know what it feels like to be boxed in by culture and limited by other people’s expectations. I’ve lived through the pressure of trying to fit into spaces that didn’t fully reflect who God created me to be—and I’ve also experienced the freedom that comes from breaking out of that. That journey is what fuels my heart for women today.
Alongside my husband, Brian, I serve as a Teaching Pastor at Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh, and I’m honored to be part of what God is doing in this generation. I’ve been blessed with a voice and a platform, but more than anything, I carry a deep desire to connect with people in a way that is both authentic and transformative.
The BE Movement was birthed out of that process. It’s a reflection of my story and my heart—to create a space where no woman feels left behind, where she can encounter God for herself, and where she is empowered to walk fully in who He created her to BE as His daughter.
My passion is to take everything I’ve walked through—my past pain, my present reality, the lessons I’ve learned, and the influence I’ve been given—and use it to help women step into their God-given identity as daughters of God.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.
At 35, after the birth of my third child, Levi (Zoë, Eden, and Levi)—I came face to face with anxiety, depression, and psychosis. It was one of the darkest seasons of my life, and I was tempted to let it define me. But it was in that place that I realized I had a choice: I could either BEcome who I was always destined to BE, or I could settle for a version of myself shaped by pain and limitation. By the grace of God, I chose to BEcome.
That decision changed everything. I’ve learned how to rely on God’s strength in my weakness, and through that process, He has been transforming me daily—shaping me into a stronger wife, a more present mother, a disciplined businesswoman, grounded preacher and most importantly—- a daughter confident about her identity in Him. This journey of BEing and BEcoming is ongoing, and it requires faith, intentionality, growth and surrender.

About the Movement
The BE Movement is a faith-centered community and an invitation to return—to who you were before the pressure to perform, before the need to prove, before the temptation to pretend. Rooted in truth and centered in God, we create spaces where women can lay down striving and rediscover the beauty of simply being. Here, identity is not earned but embraced, and growth flows from presence, not pressure.
We believe that to BE is to fully embrace who God created you to be—without striving, performing, or pretending—while growing into the version of you He has called you to become. Through gatherings, teaching, and intentional community, we invite women to live confidently in truth, anchored in who God says they are, as we walk the journey of becoming together.
